GENEROUS Chronicle readers have made it a special Christmas for needy children.
Generous families, schools and businesses have all done their bit to give to The Toy Appeal launched by The Chronicle, the BiG Storage and Save The Family.
The gifts are being distributed to deprived children across Chester and districts.
The BiG Storage sales manager Brian Warnock said: 'We have been amazed by the number of gifts we have received since the appeal was launched a month ago.'
'We are delighted with the response we had from the community we have had a lot more toys and gifts than we ever expected. We would all at Big Storage like to say a big thankyou to all those who generously donated to the Toy Appeal.'
Gifts have also been collected by Old Hall Country Club and Spa in Huntington and by children from a Waverton toddler group.
Kate Parry co-organiser of Waverton Thursday Toddler Group which meets at the Waverton Evangelical Church, said the children were more than pleased to help our Toy Appeal.
She said: 'We think it is important to be able to help needy children at Christmas time.'
