WATER Babies Swimming School is bringing its classes to the Runcorn area.
The classes, which were launched in Liverpool 18 months ago, have become the UK's leading baby swim school and were so successful it has opened new sessions around the region.
Widnes has been running packed out classes for the last 17 months.
The programme will launch in Runcorn on June 25 and has already had a huge amount of interest and support.
Runcorn mother Maria Hands said: 'Kendall started swimming with Water Babies when he was seven months old and he absolutely adores it.
'The 40-minute round trip to Widnes has been well worth the effort but I am delighted that classes will now be available in Runcorn.'
Water Babies offers a professionally run programme, designed by Lisa Ogden and business partner Tracey Allison, to make the most of young babies' natural affinity with water while teaching safety techniques.
Studies show that tiny babies find being in warm water very calming. Babies' natural confidence means they are soon happily floating on the surface and even swimming short distances underwater.
Allison who runs the class said: 'For a small baby who relies on others for almost everything this can be enormously liberating.
'Many parents say that doing something so unique that both they and their baby love is very special.'
Water Babies Classes will be running at Beechwood Community Centre starting on Monday, June 25. For more information phone Ali or Tracey on 0161 357 0111.
