TWO village primary schools are taking a joint school trip to build relationships and strengthen their link.

Pupils from Ashton Hayes and Huxley primary schools will embark on a residential visit to York to help reduce costs and give the children opportunities to make friends.

A previous trip to London proved a big success in building strong links between the two schools

Chris Priddey, headteacher at Ashton Hayes, said: “The children are looking forward to visiting the Jorvik Viking Centre, York Minster, and the National Rail Museum, and they will have the opportunity to practise their archaeology skills discovering all about Viking York."
