ALTERNATIVE plans were approved for new build in an area of special county value for landscape.
The application was submitted at Springfield, Haddon Lane, Ness by Mr R Curnow.
Mr Curnow told planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council he was seeking approval for a garage conversion and for a single storey link with a bay window at the rear and side of the property.
The substantially extended property is also in the Green Belt, according to a report.
It has two timber chalets, accommodating an office and gymnasium and three conservatories.
A large drive is suitable for parking several vehicles.
Previous plans were agreed in October last year.
Planning officers decided the conversion of the garage to habitable living space was permitted development.
No comments were made by Neston Town Council or by two neighbours who were notified.
Planners suggested the new build would be a significant alteration to the property.
A large proportion of the existing extensions, some of which did not have planning permission, would be removed and overall, the changes would be in keeping with the character of the area and would not affect neighbours.
The application was approved.
