ADULT learners who secured their qualifications through Vale Royal CVS were rewarded with certificates from Lord Ashbrook of Arley Hall.
He presented certificates to more than 30 people who had completed their studies at Northwich and Winsford.
CVS chief executive Arthur Neil said: 'The CVS is very proud of the work which we've been
able to do on adult learning. The learners have all worked extremely hard and many have achieved qualifications for the first time.
'The Winsford programme is more focussed on preparing people for work or skilling them for better jobs whilst the Northwich project is aimed more at widening access to learning and getting people to learn
for a wider variety of reasons. Many want to learn basic IT/computer use for household accounts or writing letters but we also offer basic skills training.
'We are extremely grateful for the support of the Learning and Skills Council and Cheshire County Council and hope that we will be able to continue this valuable work for many years to come.'
