LETTING agents Temples, which has branches in Chester, Nantwich, Crewe and Northwich, has marked its 10th year in business by taking to the road in a fleet of four new Ford Fiestas specially kitted out in their distinctive blue and white branding.
The family firm, with Roy Kitchen and son Steve in Nantwich, daughter Natalie and son-in-law Gary Williams in Northwich, and business partner Alex Kemp in Crewe, is also ending 2010 on a high after record lettings across all four branches.
Roy said: “With mortgages now at a ten year low, house sale numbers in decline and prices set for a double dip in 2011, demand from tenants remains strong, increasingly from young professionals who cannot afford to buy and from those waiting to purchase when the sales market ‘bottoms-out’.
“As a result, rents are increasing and void periods are decreasing to provide improving returns for landlords. The market is also bringing ‘forced landlords’ into the sector – those who cannot sell but must vacate their homes,” explained Roy.
“It’s all leading to a very interesting time for the residential lettings sector in 2011.”
The four cars, which represent an investment of more than £50,000, hit the road this month.
He added: “We’re looking forward to an exciting and challenging year ahead.
“We are increasing our investment in staffing, business development, growth and diversification, determined to remain ahead of our competition through a hands-on, professional and caring approach in all dealings with our landlords and tenants.”
