A CHESHIRE businessman has been short-listed as regional finalist in the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards 2010.
Martin Jones, managing director of Malpas-based company PH Jones, has been distinguished among the North West region’s top business leaders in the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards 2010.
Martin has grown the business from £5m to £60m over the last nine years and has successfully retained the family ethos of working with honesty and respect to deliver unrivalled customer service.
Commenting on the nomination, Martin said: “PH Jones is a dynamic and innovative company and I am very proud to accept this nomination on behalf of the business. The nomination is testament to the commitment and dedication of our people, who have worked extremely hard over the last decade to build the company from a local heating provider to a nationwide multi-trade, multi-sectored property maintenance, and multi-utility metering business. Together, and despite the challenging economic conditions of the last two years, we have grown the business to 29 regional offices, 1,000 staff and into one of the top 10 heating engineering businesses in the UK.”
Acknowledging Martin’s personal achievement, business development director Jenny Neville said: “Since Martin took leadership of the business in 2001, he has pioneered growth in our traditional areas and opened up major new possibilities through diversification and innovation. He is completely deserving of the recognition the nomination brings, which is testament to his dedication and sound business judgement.”
