A HIGH-TECH residential and commercial lettings agency has been launched in Chester.

Fearnalls, which is spearheaded by Freeman of the City Mark Fearnall, aims to optimise the popularity of the internet to offer a ‘unique’ approach to Chester’s growing rental market.

The company’s website contains an advanced search function and affordability calculator for tenants, as well as secure online property application and rental payment services so a tenant can secure the property of their choice without leaving the house.

Fearnalls says it is the only lettings agent in the Chester area to offer such broad online services.

Clients can still meet with Fearnalls at their Abbey Square offices, but they can also use Skype video calls and online chat if they prefer.

Mark said: “There is no shortage of lettings agents in Chester. With demand for rental property set to grow, particularly among young professionals, we have set out to provide a fresh and unique approach.

“We’re using technology to make life easier and better for both tenants and landlords and are the only company in the area to offer this range of online services.

“That said we’re highly committed to providing good, old-fashioned personal service so tenants and landlords can still interact with myself and the team directly.”

Mark formed the company with entrepreneur Simon Maudslay, and both believe demand for rental housing in the Chester area will continue to increase.

Simon said: “The lettings industry has been moving online for a number of years. Tenants want to set out their criteria and have relevant properties, within their budget, displayed to them.”

He added: “Tenants of all ages are comfortable with using the internet, but young people in particular expect to access web-based services.”
