ELLESMERE PORT’S Vauxhall Plant is to make a difference by loaning one of its cars to a local charity.
Claire House and The Hospice of the Good Shepherd are two of a number of regional charities already supported by Vauxhall and now the car plant is planning to loan an Astra Sports Tourer, locally manufactured at Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port plant, to a worthy cause.
The car is available for a one-year allocation and Vauxhall is looking for a deserving cause within the community.
Tony Francavilla, Vauxhall’s plant director at Ellesmere Port said: “Vauxhall takes pride in its vehicles making a true contribution to the community.”
Charities which think the car would help significantly with the valuable work it does in the community are invited to apply in writing, identifying reasons why they should be the lucky recipient in no more than 500 words, to: Hollie Gregory, communications officer, Vauxhall
North Road Industrial Estate, Ellesmere Port, CH65 1AL.
Closing date for submissions is May 3.
