CHESHIRE PR firm Polaris Media has strengthened its team with three new appointments.

The Ellesmere Port-based firm, run by journalist brothers Sam and Ben Pinnington, has appointed freelance photographers Bernard Rose and Simon Williams Tully to its newly launched corporate photography division.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Edwards, a recent law graduate from Oxford University, has been appointed to help the firm with its online media campaigns.

Polaris director Ben Pinnington said the appointments are being made to drive further growth at the firm whose sales have increased by 100% in the last 12 months.

“We are very ambitious to grow Polaris throughout 2013 and build on our client wins from 2012,” he said. “Photography and online media are two important growth areas for the business where clients want support.

“Simon and Bernard are both very experienced photographers and have a strong track record in corporate and press photography. The calibre of their images are already playing a key role in driving eye-catching prominent coverage in regional, national and international media.

“Jonathan Edwards will be helping us with our online media campaigns. As a law graduate, he has a sharp eye for detail and in-depth knowledge of platforms such as Wikipedia.”

Polaris promotes a range of firms including the CBI North West, Mersey Maritime and Cammell Laird. It specialises in engineering, manufacturing, marine, construction and education.
