RESIDENTS will receive even better quality repairs, maintenance and telecare services after Cheshire West’s largest provider of homes achieved an internationally recognised standard.
Chester and District Housing Trust has been awarded the prestigious ISO9001 certificate.
That means that all repairs and maintenance carried out by TrustWorks, CDHT’s in-house contractor and services delivered by CDHT’s telecare operation, ChesterCare, are of a high standard and meet customer’s expectations. ChesterCare provides telecare services to residents across Ellesmere Port and Neston.
ISO9001 was achieved with the efforts of a dedicated internal audit team and the guidance of external consultant Malcolm Seaton and CDHT project manager David Hughes.
CDHT is now looking to gain the 14001 Environmental Management standard accreditation and 18001 Occupational Health and Safety.
David Wrigley, CDHT assistant director of property services, said: “This represents a significant achievement by our organisation and has been reached nearly a year ahead of target”
In his report, auditor Richard Lindley, of Registrar for Standards Ltd, added: “Chester & District Housing Trust is well run and is proud of its standing in the community. Worthy of particular comment is the excellent data capture of complaints, issues and non-conformances and the use of this information in the production of performance indicators and continual improvement.”
