AUCTION House Cheshire and North Wales has been awarded a top-three ranking for Auctioneer of the Year 2013 in the Sunday Times Estate Agent of the Year Awards.

A panel of judges at a ceremony held at The Lancaster Hotel in London voted that Auction House Cheshire and North Wales, part of Humphreys of Chester Estate Agency, was deserving of the award based on its performance and success throughout last year.

The award recognises property auctioneers nationwide and follows a strict judging exercise that looks at results achieved and the service that their clients receive.

The judges said: “There is no question that this is a thriving and well-run auction house. The success rate is above the national average which is particularly impressive in the North Wales market which continues to be tough.

“The team has also worked hard developing relationships to broaden their commercial property side – this focus is set to continue in 2014 and the judges have no doubt it will prove successful.”

Edward Feather, director and auctioneer, said: “It is a fantastic achievement to be recognised nationally as a stand out performer in the UK property auction market and follows five years of hard work and determination.

“Our auction team has achieved some outstanding results in the last 12 months for many of our clients selling nearly nine out of every 10 properties that we list and we work tirelessly to make sure our buyers and sellers receive the best possible service.”

Auction House Cheshire and North Wales is currently taking entries for its six property and land sales and, as of April, will be holding a two-day auction sale in both its Chester Racecourse venue and a new Floral Pavilion venue at New Brighton.
