TWO siblings who opened their own funeral directors have been awarded membership into a prestigious nationwide trade body.

David and Catherine Anderson had always wanted a career as undertakers and opened Anderson’s Funeral Directors on Chester Road, Little Sutton, last year.

Now, just months later, the business has already been accepted into The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).

The trade association looks for the highest standard of service and a caring, traditional approach to communities, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

David, 25, said he was ‘proud’ to be members of SAIF so soon after opening.

“The process normally takes about two years to be accepted so to have it so soon after we opened is great, it means we are one of the best in the UK,” he said.

“We are some of the youngest funeral directors in the country so we are very proud.”
