Were you a former pupil of Chester’s Kingsway High School?

Natalie Pierce-Jones attended the Newton school from 1998-2005 and as this year marks a decade since she left, she has organised a school reunion at the Lock Keeper pub on July 18 from 7.30pm, which any former pupils (from any years) are invited to attend.

The school opened in 1958 as Hoole Secondary Modern and closed in 2006. When it did shut its doors, their photographic archive through the years, as well as many items of ephemera was donated to Chester’s History & Heritage Centre.

We are printing some of these photographs here, from various decades, so see if you can spot yourself.

Natalie, who has set up a Facebook page for her event, called Kingsway Reunion, said: “This party/round of drinks is not just for those who were in the same year as me, but it’s a good starting place.

“Quite a few people have found out about it and bought tickets (including teachers!) but I would love to reach more people.”

Tickets are £3 and can be obtained from Natalie by calling 07961059753 – all ex pupils and staff are welcome.
