A pawn shop in Sealand is to be featured on a national TV show.
Pawn Stars UK which will be aired on the History channel, follows businessman Mark Manning and his team at Regal Pawn on Deva Business Park, as they buy and sell historically significant items and deal with memorable English customers that haggle for every pence.
Some of the quirky scenarios viewers can expect from the show include a replica of Doctor Who Tardis, as seen in the series, an eight-tonne British military tank, as used in the Battle of the Somme, and a customer who claims she has Pussy Galore’s helicopter from the James Bond film Goldfinger.
Mark, who runs Regal Pawn with his son, daughter and best friend, says he has one philosophy when it comes to his business – ‘make lots of money and don’t screw up’.
He said: “In an area so rich in history and culture, there’s no shortage of fascinating items that we get walking through our door.”
Pawn Stars UK starts on August 26 on the History Channel.
