Grosvenor Shopping Centre saw a swarm of students on Thursday night as a one-off money saving shopping event brought the crowds in.
The Student Takeover 2015 saw popular retailers including Topshop and River Island offering exclusive discounts, goody bags and gift vouchers as well as special offers throughout the evening.
Some of Chesters favourite bars and restaurants including Nandos and Missoula offered free drinks tasters, competitions and giveaways whilst Capital FM provided the entertainment.
Centre manager Julie Webb said: “We were astounded by the sheer number of students who were so passionate about our Student Takeover shopping event, with record numbers attending this year.
“With queues back to the Cross, it really was great to be at the heart of our student community, offering them an event that was unique, engaging and most importantly, fun.
“Students got stuck into games, sampled food and drink from restaurants around the city and bagged some bargains with exclusive offers and discounts. Retailers had a great evening too, welcoming students through their doors in numbers they haven’t seen before.”
