Chester singer Keddy Sutton is Pot Noodle advert star

She's the new face of the snack brand in their You Can Make It campaign

A singer with the popular Chester choir A Handbag of Harmonies has landed a role as the face of Pot Noodle.

Actress and comedian Keddy Sutton stars in a social media video as part of the Unilever-owned brand’s You Can Make It advertising campaign.

Keddy, who is part of the Liverpool comedy duo Caz ‘n’ Britney with actress Gillian Hardie, plays a busy business executive at Pot Noodle HQ inviting inventors to submit their time-saving ideas. Speaking at the rate of knots, she advises “Success doesn’t come on a plate.”

She said: “At the audition I had to speak really fast. It was really hard to do and I kept getting tongue tied, but I threw in a few comedy noises and funny faces and got the job!”

Keddy will join actor Tom Hughes at the Hammond School tonight (Friday, September 25) for the 10th anniversary celebrations of city group Theatre in the Quarter.

There, she will sing Judy Garland’s Somewhere Over the Rainbow with the choir and reprise her lead role in the successful Handbag! The Musical, which toured Cheshire in 2013.

Next up for Keddy is a show entitled Quirky Cabaret on October 2 at Blackburne House in Liverpool with three actresses she met playing in Mam I’m ‘Ere at the Royal Court.

Then at Christmas, she will take on the role of the Queen in The Princess and The Pea at The Unity Theatre, a far cry from her 2014 appearance as Hairy Man the Tramp in I’m Dreaming of a Barry White Christmas at The Echo Arena’s sister venue The Auditorium.
