A family show is coming to The Lion Salt Works Museum, near Northwich.

Boxy and Sticky by Theatr Iolo will be at the museum on Sunday at 2.30pm.

Boxy & Sticky, created and directed by Sarah Argent, create a glorious world of play with the simplest of objects, a box and a stick.

They invite the audience into the playful world of two characters revelling in the games familiar to all children.

Their encounters are full of mischief, dressing up, hide and seek and funny wordplay.

Gradually, through their playacting and mimicry, they learn that co-operation can make playing together even more fun.

The music has been specially composed by Jak Poore.

The audience can also join in with a play session after the performance.

Councillor Louise Gittins, cabinet member for communities and wellbeing, said: “I’m thrilled that this charming and funny theatre piece for children is coming to the Lion Salt Works.

“It sounds like the audience will be mesmerised by these two mischievous characters.”

The Lion Salt Works Museum recently won its sixth award since opening in 2015 – the UK’s top conservation award from the Civic Trust.
