A household name in entertainment for more than 25 years is to appear in a special North Wales show this week.
Joe Longthorne came to British public attention in 1981 when he was a finalist on London Weekend Television’s Search For A Star, which led to appearances at The London Palladium with Bob Hope, a slot on The Royal Variety Performance and appearances on The Talk Of The Town programme.
In 1987, Longthorne starred in the popular BBC series The Les Dennis Laughter Show and went on to be given his own television series The Joe Longthorne Show by Central Television for three consecutive seasons.
The enormous popularity that he gained through these television shows put him in great demand for live theatre performances.
