After months of preparing the turf, the horses, not to mention the racegoers’ outfits, on May 4 the stage will be set for the first race of the season - the Lily Agnes Stakes, followed later in the day by the historic Chester Cup, which was first run in 1824.
Winners will enjoy access to the County Enclosure, Chester ’s premier stand, overlooking the final furlong and the winning post; it’s the perfect place to catch the final, thrilling stages of every race.
You’ll also have access to the County Champagne Bar. With great views of the parade ring, you’ll be able to enjoy a glass of fizz while studying the form.
Being the most premier of badge choices, gents are requested to wear suits with collar and tie and for ladies, smart dress is suggested, so dust off your hat and polish your shoes in readiness for a day to remember.
