Former Chester call centre worker Sian Gibson has been spotted filming the second series of Peter Kay’s smash hit comedy series Car Share on the Wirral.
The new series of the show, which follows the conversations of two supermarket colleagues on their daily commute, was commissioned after the phenomenal success of the first one last year.
It was BBC iPlayer’s most successful series to premiere as a box-set to date.
Sian, who lives in Mold, first met Kay when they were both performing arts students at the University of Salford.
She had all but given up on acting and was working at Card One Banking in Chester when an email from her old Salford university pal Kay dropped into her inbox asking her to play promotions rep Kayleigh to Kay’s assistant manager John.
Their sitcom features the antics Kayleigh and John get up to during their participation in a company car share scheme.
The first series scooped two Baftas - one for Peter Kay for best male performance in a comedy, and another for best scripted comedy.
Gibson received a Bafta nomination for best female performance in a comedy programme.
Although the series is predominantly filmed in and around Greater Manchester, film crews were seen setting up in the public car park near the West Kirby branch of Morrisons supermarket last week.
Pictures were also shared on social media of Peter Kay stopping for a laugh and a joke with workers at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
