Halton British Legion B, second in the Division Two table, maintained their position with a 5-4 win over Fiddlers Ferry A with breaks of 27 and 22 from Gary Charnock and Eddie Lane, respectively.
Third-placed Ford, defeated Fiddlers Ferry B 6-3, helped by a 72-53 win from M Lines.
Division Three's second-placed Hough Green Social Club B, three points behind leaders HSSC B, maintained their challenge by whitewashing Halton SSC A.

Third-placed Eccleston B defeated Conservative Club A 8-1 with S Evans recording a 59-19 success.
Division Four leaders Pavilions B went down 5-4 to Oddfellows.
In Division Five, leaders United Services Club B trounced Halton SSC A 9-0. Individual successes went to J Woodward (87-37) and J Spray (82-30).
Second-placed RAOB C defeated Eccleston B 8-1, helped by C Dicks, a 73-25 winner, and W Raley (62-30).
The battle of the two top teams in the Billiards League, saw Corporation close to within half a point by beating leaders Farn-worth A 4-3.
