Jenny Tinmouth celebrates her 100th MCE British Superbike Championship race at Knockhill this weekend.

The first lady of British Superbikes has been in the series since 2011 and heads north of the border this weekend for the fourth round of this season's championship.

She will be looking for further progress at Knockhill after an encouraging test at Snetterton last week with improved lap times and changes to her CBR1000RR Fireblade machine.

It’s been a long break for the Ellesmere Port racer and her Honda Racing team-mates Dan Linfoot and Jason O'Halloran since the last round at Brands Hatch in May where Tinmouth crashed out in both races , but all three are raring to go.

Tinmouth said: "We had a really good two-day test last week at Snetterton and I enjoyed being back on the Fireblade after a little break in the championship.

"We tried a few things during the test, which were all positive including some changes to the chassis and I also worked on some personal improvements, with my lines and corners.

"I came away from the last round at Brands Hatch fairly positive as I had improved my lap times and was a lot closer to the rest of the field.

"Knockhill is a great circuit, which always brings a smile to my face. It’s like a rollercoaster; it’s up and down and very fast, but it all flows together and is great to ride.

"I’m heading into the weekend confident after the test and also the last round and just can’t wait to get out there now for practice and to race again."

The action at Knockhill begins with two practice sessions on Friday with a further session on Saturday morning before two qualifying on Saturday and two 30-lap races on Sunday.
