ELLESMERE Port & Neston Tae Kwon-Do members are celebrating a hat-trick of titles from the English Championships in Bristol as a trio of their members returned with gold medals.

Star of the show was 43-year-old Keith Hulme, who struck gold in the executive men's middleweight black-belt section while there were also wins for Hannah Oldfield in the cadet girls' middleweight red-belt category and Andy Roberts in the boys' heavyweight green-belt division.

Instructor Tony Littlejohns said: 'Keith was absolutely awesome and showed the form we've always known he was capable of. His performance was spectacular and he swept aside all the opposition.'

There was also a silver medal for Hannah Jones in the girls' lightweight green-belt section, with Aimee Jones taking bronze after losing to her team-mate in the semis.

Other bronzes went to Terri Barlett (girls' lightweight black belt), John Fletcher (men's lightweight yellow belt), Daniel Shaw (men's lightweight black belt) and Jimmy Johnson (men's lightweight blue belt).
