THERE is no stopping table-topping Newton Athletic in Under 16s Division Two.

They won 4-0 at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos on Sunday with goals from Tom Tew (2), Danny Warren and Tom Appleton.

Vicars Cross Dynamos showed why they are one of the dark horses for the U15s Division Two title with a 5-2 victory at Pulford (Nathan Evans, Pete O’Brien), for whom Mike Barcroft was man of the match.

Waverton (Jack Gittins 3, Matthew Hulse, Joe Walters, Matt McClelland, OG 2) took over at the summit of the U14s Division with an 8-1 romp at home to Castrol Athletic (Wayne Statham).

There was also an 8-1 win for Pulford (Johnny Wright 4, Jeevan Kurukkal, Josh Kresnyak, James Wilkinson, Paul Brownson), at home to Waverton Bees (James Cope) in U13s Division Two. James Ingleby-Jones was Pulford’s MoM.

JFC Boughton (Charlie Jones 3, Dan Burgess, Raynor Grey) booked their place in the last eight of the Cheshire Minor Cup with a 5-1 success at home to Rossway United.

Waverton Bees fell 5-0 at Castrol Athletic in U12s Division One.

JFC Broughton (Kyle Cooper, Jordan Lee) fought back from two goals down only to eventually lose 3-2 at home to Waverton Hornets in U11s Division One. Andy Bewley was MoM for Broughton. Vauxhall Motors (Jack Hannigan, Kamen Martin) lost an end-to-end game at leaders Malpas & District 3-2 despite a MoM performance from Isaack Ready.

Chester Nomads Colts (Joe Polding, MoM James Bolton) moved further clear at the top of U11s Division Two with a 2-1 triumph at Newton Athletic Eagles. Midfielder playmaker Owen Harrop was the MoM as Saughall Colts (Scott Cobden, James Winskill, Fergus Rideal, Joe Warrington, Matty Sutch 2, Mathew Leek) won 7-3 at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos.

Malpas & District Reds finish the first half of the Under 9s season as the Yellow Division winners after they powered to a 6-1 success at Castrol Rangers on Saturday.

Iwan Nevitt, Tom Fenney, James Clark and Jack Wright did the damage.

Newton Athletic Eagles also ended the year on a high with a 10-1 triumph at home to Waverton Strikers given to them by Joseph Bartley, Danny Reisin, Jack ŠCannon and Conor Stanton. Arin Theard was Newton’s MoM.

Led by MoM Sam Harris, Blacon Youth (Marselle Aziamale, Addie Fields) finished joint top of the Green Division with a 2-0 victory at Chester Nomads. Malpas & District Blacks drew 1-1 at Castrol Athletic

Ryan Shire (3), Archie Gautier, Lewis Bainbridge, MoM Harrison Nuttall and George MaCready struck in Vicars Cross Dynamos’ 8-0 home win over Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts in the Red Division.

Chester Nomads (William Burke, Jamie Fox) earned a final-game U10s Green Division 2-0 success at home to Castrol Rangers, who could find no way past ace goalkeeper Matt Wilkes.

Max Johnson was MoM for Malpas & District Blacks in their 7-0 home loss to Vauxhall Motors Astra in the Blue Division. In the Red Division, Westminster Park Cougars were edged out 2-1 at Vauxhall Motors Corsa.
