MARK Wright expects Swindon Town's highly rated strike partnership to pose a major threat to his Chester City side tonight.

The Blues boss knows his defence will have their work cut out in trying to contain Christian Roberts and Lee Peacock, who have had a major influence on the Robins' six-match unbeaten start to the season.

Wright said: 'From what we have seen and heard, their two centre-forwards - Peacock and Roberts - are the best in the league.

'If we can try and silence them, we stand a good chance of getting a result. It's a test for our centre-backs.

'But anybody in the league is beatable and, as long as we go about it in the right way, we stand a good chance.'

Chester's defensive options have been boosted by Kevin Sandwith's recovery from a hamstring problem.

The former Macclesfield Town left-back starred for the Blues in pre-season but has not played a competitive game for his new club since being struck down by injury on the eve of the League Two kick-off.

Wright said: 'He's fully recovered. He's trained all week and he looks very good - he would be in there for me.'

Ashley Westwood has a hip problem and, according to Wright, is 'touch and go' but midfielder Dean Bennett (back) is expected to be included.

Sean Hessey should continue in defence after making his return from a five-match suspension in last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Torquay United.

Tonight is the first of many Friday home fixtures for the Blues this season.

Club officials have arranged a string of Friday fixtures in the hope it will boost attendances.

Wright added: 'The proof 's in the pudding and we'll see. It's good to try and put a lot of games on a Friday to see if we can try to get more people in and try to turn things round.'

The Blues have lost three and drawn one of their last four games, but they deserved more than a point from their visit to Plainmoor on Saturday.
