Blues boss Steve Burr has saluted the progress made in the past 12 months and wants his players to 'put on a show' in the season finale.

Chester FC have slashed admission prices for Nuneaton Town's visit on Saturday (5.15pm) as the 2014-15 campaign comes to an end on Saturday.

Under 16s can watch the match for free while tickets across the ground are £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

Burr's side are going for a third straight win and that could see the fan-owned club finish inside the Vanarama Conference's top half.

That represents a big improvement on last season, when the Blues failure to beat Salisbury City resulted in them finishing in the relegation places.

Chester won 1-0 at Aldershot Town at the weekend, where the manager, his backroom team and squad made a point of applauding the travelling support before and after the game.

Burr said: "I've said all season that we're a side that can go and win three or four and we're a side that can go and lose four or five, and that's showed this season with where we are at

"I'm delighted that we've managed to get 60 points, I'd have took that all day at the start of the season.

"We want to finish on a high in front of our supporters. It was a good travelling support again and I said to the boys before the game let's go over and give them an applause for coming again.

"There was nothing at stake but you can see how much it means to them just winning games and hopefully against Nuneaton we can put a good show on.

"That'll be the aim and I'm sure it'll be a good party atmosphere but we want to finish on a high and the target is there for us to get another three points.

"I'm delighted really with the efforts of the lads and everybody connected with the club.

"The support home and away has been fantastic and I don't know where the season has gone. It's gone really quickly but we'll regroup and look to improve for next year."
