Entertaining stuff

A team full of trialists and young players, little could have been expected from the clash but it was an interesting workout.

James Akintunde’s hat-trick was the talking point and some decent contributions from ex-Crewe Alex man James Baillie. Plenty of food for thought for Jon McCarthy as Nantwich looms on Tuesday.

So, who is James Akintunde?

The Blues trialist has been excellent, proving a real poacher and also doing his bit in bringing other players into play.

A graduate of Cambridge United, Akintude was released at the end of the season but did have some successful loan spells with AFC Sudbury and Histon.

At 20, he’s very raw but is showing up really well today.
