Kings Lynn Town are keen to sign Peter Winn on a permanent basis in the summer after the winger returned to Chester FC.

Winn has been on loan at the Evo-Stik League Premier Division outfit for three months but the 26-year-old was recalled on Tuesday.

Steve Burr brought him back to boost his squad following injuries to Matty Brown and Michael Kay in the defeat to Forest Green Rovers on Easter Monday.

Ex-Scunthorpe United man Winn was signed from Macclesfield Town in the summer but injuries have restricted him to just 13 appearances for the Blues this season.

He will be available for the final three games of the campaign, starting with Dover Athletic at home on Saturday (3pm).

Winn netted twice in his time with the Linnets, including in a 3-1 win at Trafford at the weekend, and Kings Lynn manager Gary Setchell has suggested he would like to sign him on a permanent basis.

Setchell said: “Peter has been fantastic for me and club. We have had a long chat and we will sit down and see at end of season.

“I wish to thank Peter for his tremendous efforts and commitment to King’s Lynn Town whilst at The Walks.”
