Forest Green Rovers

Jonny Maxted has extended his stay with Forest Green until the summer of 2017 after the young goalkeeper triggered a clause in his contract.

The former Doncaster Rovers man, 22, has made 18 appearances since joining the club from Hartlepool United in the summer.

Originally brought in to cover for injuries, he has cemented himself in the starting XI this season. He has kept seven clean sheets for the National League leaders.

Maxted said: "I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present to be honest. Now I’m playing games I just want to keep doing what I’m doing by helping the team out and trying to get more clean sheets under my belt."

The Lions have signed defender Liam Marsden on a month's loan from League Two side Mansfield Town.

Marsden is an exciting young full-back who graduated from the Stags' youth set-up. The 20-year-old made his professional debut at the end of the 2013-14 season.

Primarily a right-back, Marsden can also operate at centre-back and in defensive-midfield. He made 13 first-team appearances at Field Mill last season.

Kidderminster Harriers

Harriers have confirmed striker Callum Hassan will be leaving the club. The former Hartlepool United man had joined earlier this month on non-contract terms with a view to a more permanent deal.

However, it became clear that the Reds would be unable to reach a suitable agreement with the powerful marksman.

"Callum is based up north and has a lot of business interests and commitments up there," explained football development director Colin Gordon.

Tahvon Campbell has left Aggborough too after returning to parent club West Bromwich Albion. He made 15 appearances while on loan.

Joining the club is giant 19-year-old defender Kyle Howkins, who arrives on a month's loan from The Hawthorns.

The Silkmen have announced the signing of former Stockport County midfielder Chris Churchman.

The 20-year-old creative midfielder has signed a deal after leaving Edgeley Park. He made 49 appearances for the Hatters, scoring four goals since making his debut in December 2013.

Churchman found his opportunities limited under ex-Chester boss Neil Young began training with the Silkmen, impressing manager John Askey enough for him to award Churchman a deal.

Southport

Paul Carden has brought in striker Jack Ryan on loan until January from Championship side Preston North End.

Ryan, 19, started out with Blackburn Rovers as a youngster before joining Preston's youth set-up in 2012. He has had loan spells at Stalybridge Celtic, Stockport County and Morecambe.

Meanwhile, Carden has sent on-loan striker Mike Phenix back to League One club Barnsley amid accusations of poor behaviour.

He was introduced as a substitute against Kidderminster Harriers but withdrawn after angering Carden for a lacklustre performance. He had been expected to start the match but was benched after missing the team coach and pre-match hotel stop.

The 21-year-old helped Luton win promotion back to the Football League in 2013-14 but has spent part of this season on loan at Grimsby Town.

Woking have brought in Adam Cunnington on loan from National League South side Ebbsfleet United.

The well-travelled striker joins defender Craig Braham-Barrett in making a loan switch from the Fleet - a deal that was recently extended.
