CHESTER FC duo Neil Young and Antoni Sarcevic were among the award winners at Saturday's Football Conference AGM at Celtic Manor, Newport.

Young was named the Conference North manager of the year as reward for leading the fan-owned club into the top flight of non-league football.

Goalscoring midfielder Sarcevic, meanwhile, capped off a season to remember by claiming the Conference North player of the year prize.

The talented 21-year-old – who scored on his England C debut last week – was one of four players from Chester’s championship-winning side to make the Conference North team of the year.

The others were captain George Horan and fellow defenders Paul Linwood and Matty McGinn.

It was confirmed at the AGM that Aldershot Town will start the new Conference Premier season on minus 10 points after entering administration following their relegation from the Football League.

Dave Hankin and Nathan Jarman, meanwhile, are leaving the club.

Winger Hankin will join AFC Fylde for a nominal fee while striker Jarman is on the verge of agreeing a deal with an unnamed Conference North club.   Both players were transfer listed at the end of the last season after they were unable to commit to the extra travelling required in the Conference Premier.
