Chester FC: Mark Wright and Stephen Vaughan to lead newly formed Widnes Town FC

A NEW club led by former Chester City manager Mark Wright and player Stephen Vaughan Jnr hope to join the North West Counties League.

A NEW club led by former Chester City manager Mark Wright and player Stephen Vaughan Jnr hope to join the North West Counties League.

Wright is the chairman of Widnes Town FC while Vaughan Jnr, son of former City owner Stephen Vaughan Snr, is manager.

A statement from the league said the club has reached an agreement in principle to play home games at the Stobart Stadium Halton, the home of Widnes Vikings RLFC.
