WE have teamed up with Chester FC to give Blues fans a first glimpse at the club’s smart new away kit for next season.

The all-yellow strip, manufactured by Joma, will replace the purple second kit currently worn by Neil Young’s men.

The strip will go on in sale in June but City Fans United members will be able to get a closer look at it during Monday’s meeting at the Exacta Stadium Blues Bar (7pm start).

As part of a visual display, CFU members will also have the chance to cast their eye over a whole range of new merchandise – provided by the club’s official suppliers Live4Soccer – that will be on sale in the summer.

The Chronicle has already had a sneaky peak – and we’re sure supporters will not be disappointed.

Chester general manager Pat Cluskey said: “Sales of merchandise in the last six months have exceeded expectations and we know from customer feedback that fans are keen for us to expand the range of products we stock.

“By working in partnership with Live4Soccer and Joma we hope that fans will be proud to wear their Chester FC leisure and team-wear all-year round.

“As we hopefully progress through the leagues we need to ensure our revenue streams expand, but we also need to offer fans value for money.

“This year’s home shirt will remain the same, although there might be a small alteration to the MBNA logo to improve its clarity, while we will continue to use the white shirt as a third option as and when required.”

Chester players will also wear a specially-designed strip for a match in October as part of the club’s second ‘Think Pink’ charity day.
