Chester FC have signed striker Jason Gilchrist on a month's loan from Championship club Burnley.

The 21-year-old, who has still to make his senior debut for the Clarets, will be available for tomorrow's visit to Aldershot Town (3pm).

Gilchirst spent time on loan with Accrington Stanley at the back end of last season, where he made he featured five times in League Two.

The St Helens-born forward, who was with Manchester City before moving to Turf Moor, had a loan spell at Droylseden during the 2012-13 campaign.

Gilchrist missed the start of the current season after breaking his ankle in a pre-season fixture with St Mirren. He returned to training in November and will spend the next month with the Blues.

He has been a regular in the Burnley's development side and scored a memorable hat-trick against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the FA Youth Cup in 2012.

Gilchrist, who is the second new face to arrive this week after defender Ryan Astles, links up with former Clarets teammate Steven Hewitt, who signed for Chester at the end of December .

He is the second Burnley youngster to be loaned to the Blues this season after defender Alex Whitmore, who made five appearances in a month-long stint before switching to Gateshead .
