THE Blues have quickly rearranged their postponed home match against Luton Town for next week.
The League Two fixture – off due to a frozen pitch at the Deva Stadium on Saturday – will be played next Tuesday (January 13) with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Luton initially rejected the new date due to the chances of the match being called off again due to the cold weather, plus the fact the team faces a long away trip to Darlington the following Saturday. The Hatters also felt it was too short notice for their fans to make travel arrangements.
But the Football League intervened and agreed that the match could be played on January 13, with Chester’s need for revenue through the turnstiles one of the deciding factors.
