The 29-year-old, whose death sparked protests that exploded into riots and looting across the country, was gunned down when police stopped the taxi in which he was travelling in Tottenham, north London, in August 2011.

Meanwhile, communities across Britain have been warned to brace themselves for further flooding this week.

And, specialist teams are examining the site of a US military helicopter crash in Norfolk.

Emergency services worked throughout the night with the help of military personnel and volunteers after the aircraft came down at a nature reserve in Cley-next-the-Sea at around 6pm during a low-flying training exercise.
