A group of children from Years 3 and 4 at St Clare’s Catholic Primary School represented the school in the Chester School Sports Gymnastics Competition and achieved second place.

The competition involves the children completing a floor and vault routine which is judged by a local gymnastics club.

Joanne McShane, acting headteacher at St Clare’s, said: “This is the third year in a row that St Clare’s has been placed either first or second in this competition.

“Well done to all the children and to Miss Higgins, our Year 3/4 teacher, who coached them. St Clare’s are very proud of you all.”

The St Clare’s team consisted of Cain Guest, Thomas Smith, Maisy Williams, Erin Piggott and Lewis Dodd.
