A CONNAH'S Quay beauty queen has returned from a remote tropical island where she tried to tempt three men away from their partners in a reality TV show.
But Helen Mitchell of Pinewood Avenue refused to reveal if love was in the air for her on the UK version of hit break-up or make-up show Temptation Island.
A Mensa member, Helen has also been a finalist in a number of beauty contests across the country so she was a sure-fire contender when the show's producers selected her as a 'tempter'.
'It was totally different to the US version,' said 20-year-old Helen.
'There was more of a party atmosphere on the island and the 12 girls in the Luna camp were not as fiercely competitive.'
Three British couples in long-term relationships were transported to the remote island of Rota near Honduras.
Once there they were split up and taken to opposite ends. In their 'villages' were 12 tempters of the opposite sex who have been selected to make contestants question their commitment to their partners.
Helen was one such 'tempter' and she did reveal that she went on two dates.
'I can't tell you any more than that, you'll have to watch it and see,' she said.
'But it was a fantastic experience. I found out about the recruitment of tempters through my modelling agency N2O and I immediately applied.
Helen, who is currently studying drama in London at the Rose Buford Drama School, said 'It was a strange situation to be in though because we all knew why we were there and there was always a little bit of competition but I really enjoyed it and have kept in contact with many of the girls from the show.'
