Two Tarporley Sixth Form College students are ecstatic to have received offers from Oxford University, after undergoing a rigorous selection process.

Hayley Blamphin, 18, has received an offer from St Catherine’s College to read Chemistry and 17-year-old Jackie Gray’s offer is to read modern languages at Lincoln College.

Director of Sixth Form Jason Lowe said: “We are incredibly proud of Hayley and Jackie. Their hard work and dedication has been rewarded.

“They are gifted girls who have a passion for learning; they have thrived in our Sixth Form and I know they will be a fantastic addition to the student body at Oxford.

Year 13 students are continuing to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to their studies and we are delighted by all their university offers, a number of which are unconditional!

“They are a talented group of young people who are sure to be successful in all their ventures.”

The college is holding an A-level information evening on Febraury 13, when Year 11 students will have an opportunity to discuss course options with subject teachers.
