FREE parking in the town centre’s main car park has been given the green light by councillors.
The move, which is hoped to be implemented by mid-December in time for the festive period, was unanimously backed by members during last night’s extra-ordinary full council meeting.
The proposal had previously been approved at special highways and resources meetings.
Council leader Justin Madders said: “This will give the town what I hope can be an early Christmas present.”
