FORMER Wrexham mayor Cllr Aled Roberts has made donations to four charities from his civic kitty.
Each year the mayor holds a number of charity events, including the annual ball.
All the proceeds go into a pot which is then distributed between the mayor's nominated charities.
Cllr Roberts, now deputy mayor, chose to split his donation between four local charities, with each receiving £2,500.
Dynamic, Hope House Hospice, Samaritan Ward and Nightingale House Hospice all sent representatives to the mayor's parlour to collect their cheques.
