THIS is the face of the teenage monster police are hunting for the horrific rape of a 35-year-old deaf woman.

The savage attack took place at about 1am on Sunday as the woman was walking home after a night out.

Her attacker is thought to be aged only about 15 or 16 and a vital clue could be the mountain bike he rode away on.

Police say the dark blue or black bike had a distinctive orange coloured suspension.

The woman, who was struck in the face and suffered cuts and bruises, was dragged along Pillory Street into the Love Lane car park, where the brutal attack took place behind trees and shrubs.

Detective Inspector Neil Ellwood of Crewe CID, who described the attack as 'savage', said: 'This was a horrible act on a vulnerable lady who was unable to cry out for help.'

The woman had spent the evening with a male friend in town centre pubs. On the way home she called at a fish and chip shop and her friend went into a fast food shop next door. Before going inside the pair had agreed to walk home separately.

It was as she came out of the fish and chip shop to complete her journey home that the teenage rapist struck.

The woman used sign language to describe to police how she struggled, but was dragged through an alleyway into the car park where she was raped.

Police have compiled an E-fit picture of the slimly built young attacker.

He is described as white with dark eyes and short brown hair with sideburns.

The woman said his hair was either gelled or greasy.

He wore a black long sleeved adidas top with white stripes down the sleeves, and black or dark coloured trousers.

Because of the woman's disabilities she was not able to raise the alarm until she managed to get home and explain what had happened. Her daughter then called the police.

During the evening the woman had visited town centre pubs including the White Horse, in Pillory Street.

Inspector Ellwood said the woman had been left severely traumatised by the brutal attack.
