HISTORY students are producing a DVD to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
Twenty Year 9 pupils of Ysgol Dinas Br n in Llangollen have been working hard in the school's history club to plan the film on The Impact of World War II on North East Wales.
Their extensive research has included many interviews and questionnaires.
A school spokesman said: 'The group would like to thank the many people who have responded by letter or phone to their request through the press for information.
'The research and planning process is almost complete and, following the very generous donation by Air Products of a digital camcorder, film and DVD recorder, the group are to begin the filming and editing process.
'The project has been entered into the prestigious Welsh Heritage Initiative competition and will be judged in May.
'The school's History department has had great success in the competition in recent years for their work creating an Interactive Fieldwork site on the medieval castles of North Wales and a website, as well as their publication of a historical town trail for Llangollen.'
