A man was left with a broken jaw following an assault in a pub car park.

The 35-year-old was leaving the Sir Robert public house on Overpool Road, Ellesmere Port, when he was punched to the ground, at around 7pm on Friday, February 28.

He was left with bruising and a broken jaw following the attack in the car park of the pub and needed treatment at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to come forward.
