A STEERING group has been set up to create a master plan of how Bunbury should look in the year 2030.
The group was formed after a meeting, organised by Bunbury Parish Council, during which members of the public were given the opportunity to discuss how to make Bunbury a better place in which to live, work and play.
“The idea is for the community to develop its own voice and use this to create a shared vision for the future and an action plan for turning that vision into a reality,” said Andrew Thomson, chairman of the Parish Plan Steering Group.
The Parish Plan Committee has now met several times and is making good progress towards the circulation of detailed questionnaires for villagers to complete and help shape the future of Bunbury.
They will be ready for distribution in the early part of 2013 and the resulting information will be used to produce the plan.
The committee needs responses and as an incentive it is intended to offer prizes to encourage everyone to participate.
