An action-packed day at the movies with an Olympic theme for all the family is promised in Winsford later this month.

RioFest Movies in the Meadow takes place on Thursday, July 28 in the grounds of the Neuromuscular Centre’s meadow in Winsford from 11am-6pm.

Families can enjoy an array of activities including fun fete games (including inflatable Twister), a bouncy castle, face painting, a craft stall, a Brazilian themed barbecue and more – all in honour of the up and coming Rio Olympics.

You’ll also get to enjoy 2011’s hit movie Rio (at 2pm) and Disney’s Zootropolis (at 4pm) on a giant outdoor cinema screen.

The Brazilian themed barbecue is served between noon-2pm and there will also be popcorn for sale. Why not come on down from 11am so you can make the most of the activities on offer before the movies start from 2pm. Adult tickets are £7, children (under 16) are £4.50 and under threes go free.

For more information or to buy tickets for this event visit www.nmcentre.com or call the fundraising office on 01606 861733.

Please note there is no parking at the centre, only on road parking outside the gates so people are advised to use public transport or car share if possible.

You are welcome to bring your own picnics, chairs and rugs as there is no seating available, but please note alcohol is strictly prohibited. The centre also does not allow the use of barbecues and only guide dogs are permitted.

This family fun day is raising funds for The Neuromuscular Centre, based in Winsford, which provides a range of services for adults and young people with muscular dystrophy, a severe and debilitating muscle wasting condition.
