POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman became the victim of a distraction burglary in Willaston.
The incident took place on Monday, November 27, at 3pm in Orchard Street when a man claimed to be from the water board.
A police spokesman said: 'He then said he needed to run the taps to check the water pressure.
'After a short period, she followed him up the stairs and found a second man leaving her bathroom.
'Fortunately, nothing appeared to have been taken during the incident.
'The first man is described as five foot seven to five foot eight, in his 20s, of medium build, with short light brown hair and a round face. He spoke in a Stoke accent and claimed his name was Tom, that he was 29 and from the Winsford area.
'The second man is believed to be five foot six, around 25 years-old and of a medium build. He was wearing a royal blue jacket.'
