TARVIN High Street was closed by police after a collision this morning (Friday, October 26).

A 24-year-old local man had to be cut from his vehicle after colliding with two other cars at about 6.45am.

Firefighters on one appliance from Chester and one from Tarporley station attended were joined by paramedics and police.

Crew manager Dave Doneo, from Chester fire station, was in charge at the scene.

He said: “We had to cut the driver’s and passenger door off and the casualty was extricated on a spinal board. he was fully conscious.”

The man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with minor injuries and the road re-opened at 8.52am with all three vehicles recovered.
