AN APPLICATION is to be made by Cheshire West and Chester Council to Chester Magistrates Court to stop up highway land at Francis Court, Francis Street, Boughton.

The council says the application is being made on the grounds the 230 sq m of land is no longer needed.

It points out the effect of the order would be to extinguish all public rights of way over the area.

Anyone who uses the land and anyone else who would be aggrieved by the making of the order has a right to be heard by the court.

Details can be seen at the council's HQ offices on Nicholas Street. The hearing will take place on Thursday, January 31 at 2pm.
