STAFF at Helsby’s newly-extended Tesco store got into the Christmas spirit at a festive family fun day on Saturday.
Shoppers were entertained by a children’s performer and stilt walker, while young customers and store workers enjoyed free face painting.
Manager Mark Corlett said: “We wanted to hold an event to not only get our customers in the festive spirit but also thank them for their support during our store extension.”
Chester radio station Dee 106.3 joined in the fun, bringing along mascot Chester the Cat for the final of their on-air competition.
“I hope all the finalists enjoy their gift cards and buy something nice for Christmas,” said Mark.
“Now all of the improvements are made in store, our aim is to continue to offer the best service possible and we hope to see many familiar faces over the festive season.”
The store has a new clothing department, customer café and customer toilets, and most product ranges throughout the store have been extended or improved.
Tesco Helsby’s opening hours are 6am to midnight, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
